"أَوَلَمْ يَرَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓاْ أَنَّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ كَانَتَا رَتْقًۭا فَفَتَقْنَٰهُمَا وَجَعَلْنَا مِنَ ٱلْمَآءِ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ حَىٍّۢ ۖ أَفَلَا يُؤْمِنُونَ"
"کیا کافروں نے نہیں دیکھا کہ آسمان اور زمین دونوں بند تھے، پھر ہم نے انہیں کھول دیا اور ہم نے ہر جاندار چیز کو پانی سے پیدا کیا، تو کیا وہ ایمان نہیں لاتے؟"
(سورۃ الأنبیاء 21:30)
This verse aligns with modern scientific discoveries about the Big Bang theory, which suggests that the universe was once a singularity before expanding. Additionally, the mention of water as the source of life corresponds with scientific findings that all living beings require water to survive.
The Expansion of the Universe
"وَٱلسَّمَآءَ بَنَيْنَٰهَا بِأَيْيْدٍۢ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ"
"اور آسمان کو ہم نے اپنے ہاتھوں سے بنایا اور بلاشبہ ہم اسے وسعت دینے والے ہیں۔"
(سورۃ الذاریات 51:47)
In the 20th century, scientists like Edwin Hubble discovered that the universe is continuously expanding, a fact that was already mentioned in the Quran over 1400 years ago.
Mountains as Stabilizers
"وَجَعَلْنَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ رَوَٰسِىَ أَن تَمِيدَ بِهِمْ..."
"اور ہم نے زمین میں مضبوط پہاڑ رکھ دیے تاکہ وہ ان کو لے کر نہ ڈگمگائے..."
(سورۃ الأنبیاء 21:31)
Modern geology confirms that mountains have deep roots that stabilize the earth's crust, which aligns with the Quranic description of mountains as pegs or stabilizers.
Human Embryo Development
"وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ مِن سُلَٰلَةٍۢ مِّن طِينٍۢ * ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَٰهُ نُطْفَةًۭ فِى قَرَارٍۢ مَّكِينٍۢ * ثُمَّ خَلَقْنَا ٱلنُّطْفَةَ عَلَقَةًۭ فَخَلَقْنَا ٱلْعَلَقَةَ مُضْغَةًۭ..."
"اور ہم نے انسان کو مٹی کے خلاصے سے پیدا کیا، پھر ہم نے اسے ایک محفوظ جگہ میں نطفہ بنایا، پھر ہم نے نطفہ کو جما ہوا خون بنایا، پھر ہم نے اس جما ہوا خون کو گوشت کا لوتھڑا بنایا..."
(سورۃ المؤمنون 23:12-14)
